You can experience all of the latest improvements by downloading your free version of Adalon Professional Edition today! 1. Complete Fusebox 4.1 supportAdalon 3.0 includes comprehensive design and code generation support for all of the new elements of the Fusebox 4.1 Standard. Specific programming concepts that are supported include:
In addition to the preceding shapes, the following Fusebox 4.1 design elements can be used to completely specify the logic for each FuseAction.
For more information on how these shapes are used to design and implement a working Fusebox application, please refer to our Adalon 3.0 Fusebox Tutorial. 2. Multi-project support with drag-and-drop between projects Adalon users can now open multiple projects within the same Adalon session and drag elements from one to the other without having to manually export and import.
Easily drag-and-drop from one project to anotherYou can drag individual elements, groups of elements, even entire circuits and applications from one project to another! The selected element(s) and all associated elements will automatically be imported from the source project into the target project. 3. Stencils for lightning-fast wireframing and architecture design Adalon stencils and improved diagramming features make it easier and faster to map high-level sitemaps and detailed application flows.

Full-featured generic diagramming support In addition to Adalon's new multi-level diagramming capabilities, application designers can now add rectangles, ovals, text boxes, notes and color to their diagrams and use a completely new set of diagramming tools.

Ability to insert screenshots and hyperlink to existing documents You can easily reference image files and create hyperlinks to an unlimited number of documents and Web pages using the "Insert Hyperlink" option. Linked images will automatically be displayed in the appropriate sections of certain Adalon-generated documents, such as the Advanced Wireframes and Process Flow Document. "Insert Hyperlink" button
Multiple ways to insert images and create hyperlinks (highlighted in red)If you are using the "Element Properties" window below the main diagramming window, the "Insert Hyperlink" button can be found in the top-right corner of the "Element Properties" window header. The "Insert Hyperlink" button can also be found in the main toolbar and in the "Edit" menu. 6. New views to show how design elements relate to one anotherSpecialized views, similar to those pictured below, make it easy to visualize requirement dependencies, track ownership across processes, and much more.
Since all this information is captured and maintained in a single data set, when something like a requirement changes, it is easy to see which pieces of your design may be affected. It is also easy to identify which people may be affected an notify them accordingly. 7. Fully customizable documentation and code generators In addition to Adalon's powerful code generation capabilities, Adalon can automatically create and publish professional-grade design documentation that is always up-to-date and in-synch with your design.
Sample Adalon Generated Design DocumentsWith Adalon Professional Edition, you can customize any existing Adalon generators and easily create new ones. Customizations can be as simple as adding your company's logo to a cover page, or building a completely new code generator to more completely support your organization's internal development standards. 8. Ability to jump directly from one diagram to another Adalon's new multi-level diagramming feature makes it easy to daisy-chain from one diagram to another, both within Adalon and in the generated Advanced Wireframes.
Sample Adalon Generated Advanced WireframesUsing this technique, you can break up a large application into smaller diagrams without sacrificing any referential integrity. As always, you can use the same element on multiple diagrams to present the same information in different ways. 9. Flexible XML-based plugin architecture Adalon users now have the ability to switch different plugins on and off using the Preferences & Settings dialog displayed below.
Adalon 'Preferences & Settings' DialogWith Adalon Professional Edition, you can add plugins of your own to add new forms, tabs, elements, menus, rules and much more. All of these plugins can be easily managed from one central preferences console. 10. Person, Group and Role shapes to define ownership and responsibility Adalon now makes it easy to define ownership and responsibility by using the following elements to make simple drag-and-drop ownership assignments.
Whenever a person, group or role is assigned to an element, they are automatically added to the "Owner" table for that element. If a person is assigned to one or more groups or roles, and that group or role is assigned to one or more design elements, that person automatically inherits the responsibilities of their assigned groups and roles Ownership assignments can be viewed through a number of different views within Adalon, and can be made available to non-Adalon users through different Web-based reports, such as the Ownership List and Ownership Document. |
